How long does it take to complete project?

Project length can vary widely on the type and size of a project as well as if the project will need any special city or county approvals permits to complete. Small residential projects may take only a few months or less to complete, where large commercial building can take considerably more time. Lucky for you, Drafting & Design has worked at both ends of the spectrum and everywhere in between. We have experience on projects that are small enough to need only a design consultation and then construction begins, to projects that need formal expediting for entitlement approvals and the entire permitting process. Along with our extensive knowledge of how these processes work, we are often able to minimize the time needed to achieve permit ready plans.

Is Drafting & Design Ltd. a local-only company?

While we are a firm in Southern California, based in Covina, our projects have ranged from Catalina to the Colorado River, from San Diego to Burbank; to the states of Arizona and Montana. Basically, we have worked in a majority of the cities in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties

How does Drafting & Design’s determine its fees?

The fees that we charge vary depending on the type and size of the project. We work on projects based on square footage and hourly rates as well as projects based on fixed rates. We track all our time spent on projects weekly. If you’re interested in a general estimation on the fees for a specific job, you’re more than welcome to call or email and we will be able to give you an estimate.

What type of projects do you do?

We have done minimum interior remodel work that may have no structural work, to large 2nd story additions that are virtually a tear down. New homes that are very modest to large custom estates, small tenant improvements to new office buildings. Site design, for tract developments, multi-family including duplexes, 2nd units at existing homes, small and large apartment complexes, condominiums, townhouses and mixed use. We embrace all projects and like the diversity in our office.
